The Only Oils You Need for Healthy Hair

The Only Oils You Need for Healthy Hair

I adore any healthy alternative to dangerous, artificial chemicals that are in most hair products of this day. I try to incorporate and replace my products with organic, raw, all-natural ingredients as much as possible. Here’s how you can too for healthy, strong, hair!

  1. Raw Organic Virgin Coconut Oil

I do not have split ends, and to that I contribute: coconuts.

Coconut Oil is amazing for repair, regrowth, and protection from the elements. This oil is known to decrease dandruff, heal the scalp, provide protection from heat styling, soften, prevent split ends, and give a healthy shine. The best way to use raw, organic, virgin coconut oil is to naturally soften in a warm environment or room temp, and pour into a spray bottle. You can also apply directly to hair from roots to ends.

If you have thin hair, only a small amount should be used (about a quarter size). If you have thick hair, the hair should be separated and gently coated using a spray bottle on each portion divided.

For a full soak, use approximately 2-4 tablespoons of oil all over hair, then rinse after 10 minutes.

In order to see the full benefits coconut oil has to offer, taking half a teaspoon daily of raw, organic, coconut oil on a spoon, or added to a smoothie. This way will heal your body and hair, on the inside out.

2. Moroccan Argan Oil

100% Moroccan Argan Oil is fantastic as a leave-in-moisturizer for overall hair health. There are many brands out there today to choose from, but try to go with the most natural brand you can find. In order for any oil to work efficiently, it has to react with your body’s PH without hormone disruptors. Argan Oil is known for its fatty acids, vitamin E, vitamin A, and overload of antioxidants to heal your body. What a better way than to incorporate it into your daily hair routine for added moisture? 3. Olive Oil

While not many would have imagined applying your salad dressing ever onto your scalp, you might want to reconsider the possibilities (No, I am not advising you to start dumping your fave dressing onto your head. Although it would make for a viral video) Olive oil has been used for centuries as a cure for dry hair and hair growth. If you go to your local beauty supply, you’ll be sure to find a multitude of products with the main ingredient to be olive oil. Just remember, organic is always best.
