The Pink Showdown

I’m not a pink loving type of woman. In fact, it must be the right kind of day, right outfit, right mood, right food, and right shade to get me to wear pink. It’s not that I hate the color, it’s just that it’s not my thing! UNTIL, I discovered Kylie Cosmetics and Jeffree Star Cosmetics. Seeing the liquid lipsticks on social media, made me very skeptical of the actual quality. So many things that are hyped up tend to be low in quality, but this proved me seriously wrong honey. Now onto the battle!

What I love about Kylie Cosmetics liquid lipsticks is the cupcake scent, matching lip liners, wand, long-lasting formula, price, packaging, shades, and their one-swipe rule.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics also really hit me in the chest with the wide range of shades, little tubes (perfect for purses!), lack of scent (because not everyone can handle a strong smell, the price, wand, (lip liners are coming soon!) and pigmentation.

WINNER: they both win.

There wasn’t much difference between the two formulas other than that the Kylie Cosmetics smells like cupcakes and has a one swipe rule, while Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipstick is extremely long-wearing, works best with the Velour lip scrub, two coats, and I look forward to the lip liners!

Tip: Let your Jeffree Star Cosmetics liquid lipsticks DRY for about 60 seconds before drinking or eating. Use Jeffree Star’s lip scrub PRIOR to using the lipsticks for flawless lips.

Tip: For the Kylie Cosmetics liquid lipsticks, apply liner first, then coat once with the wand.

Liquid Lipstick Price:

Jeffree Star Cosmetics: $18

Kylie Cosmetics: $16-$30
